My sister Carrie is a remarkable person with an unmatched enthusiasm for animal care. She would selflessly care for and nourish any thing that came into her path, even as a small child. As she became older, she put her passion into an NGO she formed called “Out-to-Pasture.”
Her objective is to rescue abused, injured and mistreated animals and restore their health so they can live happy and comfortable lives.
Despite the tendency of society to abandon such beings, Carrie firmly believes in giving each and every one of them the chance to have a full and fulfilling life.
She devotes her entire life to taking care of a menagerie that includes more than 40 cats, dogs, horses, goats, and lambs. She is in charge of meeting their ongoing requirements, including feeding, caring for, and consoling them. There is little room for anything else when someone is this devoted.
These creatures appear happy and satisfied despite their impairments and sicknesses.
Carrie exhibits activism at a level that is unmatched and represents the highest level of commitment. I feel like I’m not contributing enough because of her relentless dedication to the cause.
She never develops the ability to deal with the loss of her crippled animal charges despite the passing of time. She seemed to never get used to it because mourning is triggered by each dying or aging creature.
It was clear that her acts were motivated by an unwavering love for animals. Their complete devotion for her cemented a bond that was undeniably mutual.
She is a role model to many, including myself, because of her unwavering commitment.
Her sincere actions and manner taught me the path to take and the kind of person I should strive to be over time.
