The ancient Frankenfood was developed by Vow, an Australian company that cultivates cells from the biopsies of unusual animals to produce better, more sustainable sorts of meat. It was originally the creation of Bas Korsten from the NYC-based creative agency Wunderman Thompson.
In its most recent foray into mongrelized meat, They chose to reintroduce the woolly mammoth, which has been extinct for 10,000 years (well past the sell-by date).
However, no one has ever tried mammoth meat since scientists are reluctant to do so because the animal is long past the point of extirpation.
