His family from North Texas is suing the OnlyFans model who is accused of killing her boyfriend in Miami, according to the lawsuit. Courtney Clenney, also known as Courtney Tailor on Instagram and OnlyFans, was detained in Hawaii in August and accused of killing her lover, Christian Obumseli, 27, on April 3, 2022. According to Kerenney’s attorney, the 26-year-old was acting in self-defense when she stabbed Obumseli.
In a case filed in Miami-Dade County, Florida, Obumseli’s family is now suing Clenney for wrongful death, claiming the model “acted negligently” prior to Obumseli’s passing. Although Obumseli’s family resided in Richardson, at the time of his passing, he was residing in Miami with Clenney.
The owner of the opulent high-rise flat where Obumseli was killed and the property management business were both named in the lawsuit by the victim’s family. The family claims in their lawsuit that they are looking for financial assistance to cover trauma, lost family support, and funeral and medical costs.
According to a Miami Herald report from August, Krenney initially claimed to have thrown a knife at her partner to the police. Police assert that the evidence contradicts this, though. According to authorities, they were able to determine that Clenney stabbed Obumseli at close range based on the angle of the knife and how deeply it went into his body.
At gunpoint, Krenney had previously attacked Obumseli “during a stormy relationship”. The two had a “violent and toxic two-year relationship,” according to prosecutor Catherine Fernandez Rendell, as reported by the Miami Herald. On May 9, Kerenney will return to Miami-Dade County criminal court. She is accused with second-degree murder using a dangerous object.
