Thirty-nine people were injured in a Greyhound bus accident in Tennessee on Memorial Day, with 27 of them requiring hospitalization, according to the Madison County Fire Department.
Fire crews responded to the scene on Highway 70 East at around 6:48 p.m.
First responders were seen at the crash site near Jackson, Tennessee, located east of Memphis, as reported by CBS Memphis affiliate WREG-TV.
The fire department urged the public to avoid the area for several hours to allow emergency teams to manage the scene safely.
