St. Petersburg Woman Found Dead in Her Apartment, 2-year-old Son Missing, Police Say

According to a press release from the St. Petersburg police, a mother was discovered dead in her residence on Thursday afternoon, and her 2-year-old kid is missing.

Police identified the deceased as 20-year-old Pashun Jeffery, but no further information was provided regarding her passing. According to the press statement, Jeffery’s body was discovered at Lincoln Shores Apartments, which are located at 11601 4th St. N, about 2:30 PM.

According to the press release, Taylen Mosley, her missing son, “may be in danger.” The youngster is the subject of an Amber Alert, and an investigation is ongoing.

Taylen was listed as a “Kidnapped Child” in a mobile device Amber Alert alert.

Because they hadn’t heard from Jeffery, her family became concerned. On Thursday afternoon, one of them went to check on the apartment and discovered Jeffery dead and her son missing, according to the police. They claimed that although they had been informed by neighbors, the noise from the unit had not been “memorable enough” to warrant a call to the police.

Jeffrey’s killing was characterized by police as a “very violent homicide.”

There was a large police presence at the property. A blue Nissan vehicle was inspected by cops outside Jeffery’s residence. Police removed the contents of the car and placed cones to designate potential evidence.

The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office K-9 team sent a bloodhound to the area to try to find the young child. In their search, police are also making use of a helicopter and drones.

Also spotted at the apartment complex was a handful of drug enforcement police. They quickly surveyed a pond close to Jeffery’s residence. A trash can was taken by a flatbed truck so that it could be checked for potential evidence.

But by the time the sun fell on Thursday, little information about what occurred at Lincoln Shores was known.

Police in St. Petersburg are asking anyone with information to contact them at 727-893-7780.
