    Nicola Heywood Thomas is a Welsh journalist and television presenter who has appeared on both radio and television. She was born in 1961 in Llantwit Major, a coastal village in Wales.

    Ella Nicola began her media career in 1985, after graduating from Cardiff University and working for BBC Radio Wales. She has since hosted a number of radio and television shows in Wales and across the United Kingdom.

    One of her most well-known programs is BBC Radio Wales’ “Classical Collection,” which has been broadcast for almost 20 years and focuses on classical music. She has also hosted jazz and folk music radio broadcasts.

    Nicola has worked as a television presenter and reporter for BBC Wales, covering a wide range of themes from culture to politics and social issues.

    Nicola has won various media accolades, including the Royal Society of St. David’s Radio Service Award in 2010 and the BAFTA Cymru Award for Best Television Presenter in 2014.

    Nicola is well-known for her efforts promoting Welsh culture, in addition to her media career. She is on the Board of Directors of the Welsh Arts Council and has served as President of the National Eisteddfod Festival of Wales, one of the country’s largest cultural events.
