JID from Dreamville and Metro Boomin are previewing a new collaborative album.
With the release of Heroes & Villains, his second No. 1 album, and rumors of an upcoming project with Future, Metro Boomin has been in a good mood. Now, it appears that Young Metro is planning another collaborative project. The top producer from Atlanta shared the information on Tuesday via his Instagram Story (March 28). Metro revealed the shocking news in a caption he wrote over a photo he shared of himself and JID preparing something in the studio.
He added four fire emojis and a giddy face emoji to his post and said, “Me and [JID] album fantastic.”
“Have a bunch of new music coming but when me and @JIDsv release [four fire emojis, dizzy emoji],” Metro wrote on Twitter after tweeting the same image.
JID agreed and posted the identical image to his Instagram Stories with the caption “Bruh” and the palm-to-face and flex emojis.
Barry Johnson, JID’s manager, added the news to the group’s record of recent successes in a comment on his own Instagram post of the studio photo.

In an interview with FLAUNT magazine earlier this month, Metro announced that his joint album with Future would be released this year after previously teasing the collaboration. The album’s release in December last year, Heroes & Villains, might be the project’s predecessor. The Forever Story, JID’s critically acclaimed CD, was released last summer.
