Johannesburg, South Africa – South Africa’s genre-bending duo Matumza & GuruLogic are back with another groundbreaking single titled “Jazziano”, this time featuring the exceptional talent of Rams De Violinist. The track, a standout piece from their forthcoming album The Home of Jazz, pushes the boundaries between classic jazz and modern Amapiano—coining a style they call Jazziano.
The single arrives on the heels of their acclaimed release “Mzansi Groove” and continues the duo’s mission of merging South Africa’s rich jazz heritage with the infectious rhythms of Private School Amapiano. Jazziano is a captivating blend of groovy basslines, percussive piano riffs, and a stirring live violin performance that adds a layer of elegance and emotional depth.
“It’s not just a sound—it’s a movement,” says GuruLogic, the veteran jazz composer and father of Matumza. “Jazziano is where legacy meets innovation.”
Rams De Violinist, known for his electrifying performances on both classical and contemporary stages, adds a haunting melodic line that brings the track to life. His violin solos soar above the beat, evoking emotion while keeping the groove firmly grounded in the Amapiano realm.
Matumza, the project’s visionary producer and beat architect, describes the track as “a celebration of identity, a conversation between generations through melody and rhythm.”
