Experience: Because I have a background in acting, I have primarily worked in the performing arts. When I think of my defining moment, I immediately think of Second City’s Comedy Studies Project. humor Studies enabled me to broaden and refine my abilities in writing, acting, and improvisation humor.
In ten years, my dream profession would be to continue my enthusiasm for comic storytelling by working as a TV and film producer. I want to use comedy as a vehicle to express underrepresented and outlandish points of view, ultimately bringing people together through the universality of humor and laughter.
What drew you to the MSLCE program at Northwestern? I was drawn to the MSLCE program because it allowed me to explore my more artistic side while also studying the economic side of the entertainment industry. I was particularly intrigued by the prospect of studying alongside people with diverse creative interests and experiences.
What are you looking forward to the most about the MSLCE program? There are so many things I’m looking forward to this year, but if I had to pick one, it would be the summer internship. I am looking forward to gaining skills through hands-on experience and networking within the industry.
Who would you choose to have lunch with (alive or dead)? Phoebe Waller-Bridge exemplifies what it means to be a woman in the entertainment sector…She is, without a doubt, one of the coolest women on the planet. Picking her brain would be a dream come true.
