    Joshua Gunther, a Marist High School alumni, has passed away

    Following a courageous and challenging battle with brain cancer, Joshua Gunther, a respected alumnus of Marist School from the class of 2004, has sadly passed away. We must convey the unfortunate news of his departure. Throughout his tenure at Marist, Joshua made a lasting impact on the lives of many individuals. He was a prominent and esteemed figure within the Marist community, especially recognized for his passion for music. As a member of the Marist band, Joshua had the remarkable opportunity to take the stage at the Rose Bowl in 2002.

    This remarkable achievement remains a cherished recollection for all those who shared that experience with him. Joshua’s time at Marist was marked by his exceptional talent, unwavering dedication, and a heart full of generosity. His enthusiasm for music made a lasting impression on both his classmates and his instructors. He embodied the values that the school championed, consistently striving to excel in all his endeavors. Throughout his illness, he showcased remarkable strength, unwavering perseverance, and an optimistic spirit, embodying a testament to his character that inspired all who crossed his path.

    While we mourn the loss of Joshua, we also celebrate the incredible memories he has gifted us. His Marist family recalls not just his exceptional musical talents, but also the warmth, friendliness, and joy he brought to everyone in his presence. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones as they navigate this incredibly difficult period. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this time. May Joshua’s soul find eternal rest, and may the light of eternity illuminate his path. The Marist community will hold onto his memory, cherishing the impact he made, and he will forever remain a part of their collective heart.
