George Jensen Death: Akron Man killed in road rage shooting on Interstate 76 near state Route 21 in Norton
A man sadly lost his life in what seems to be a road-rage shooting on Interstate 76 near state Route 21 in Norton, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office and Norton Police Department.

At around 5:35 p.m. on Wednesday, Norton police and the Ohio Highway Patrol were initially summoned to the scene of a single-car accident on I-76 eastbound close to the Easton Road overpass.

When they got there, they saw that the driver had multiple gunshot wounds.

George Jensen, 40, of Akron has been recognized as the person who sadly lost his life.

Jensen was taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General after suffering life-threatening wounds, where he passed away at about 6:15 p.m.

The medical examiner’s office claims that Jensen was hit several times with gunfire while he was driving eastbound on I-76 close to state Route 21.

Jensen’s car hit the concrete median and slammed into it, coming to a stop.

Prior to the shooting, Jensen and another driver of a black 2018 or newer Chevy Camaro were involved in a road rage incident, according to the Norton police.

The Camaro’s driver opened fire on Jensen’s automobile as it passed by while both cars were on Interstate 76.

George Jensen’s widow, Allison Jensen, stated on Thursday that her late husband vehemently disapproved of the type of gun violence that sadly took his life on Wednesday.

She emphasized his brilliance and love of animals while describing him as a nice and kind person. The bereaved widow of Jensen believes that his tragic destiny was profoundly unfair.

She said she was worried when he didn’t come home at the normal hour, which meant something was wrong.
